Look at this the 5800 succeeded of becoming one of the best sellers because it was cheap and versatile. Sure the Omnia HD cr4p and the Satio didn’t sell like hotcakes. . but it was capable of putting a custom firmware in it just as the android does. . :)

My old Symbian S60 3rd FP2 phone could do (and actually does) that over a year ago when I bought it… Yes, if you password the card like I do it becomes unreadable with a normal reader. The setting is in the file manager, on the internal mem / memory card screen, in the options… Actually, OLDER versions of S60 used to keep the password in cleartext in one of the “protected” c: system files (so the OS can actually access the card) – the 3rd FP2 doesn’t do that anymore, it keeps it better hidden somewhere…
