The standard doesn’t actually specify the connector (5pin, 11pin, whatever) so any manufacturer can make up their own plugs and run MHL over it.

That’s what Samsung did with the Galaxy S III. It’s still MHL, it just happens to be incompatible with everything else that’s MHL

Sucky stuff, No one that actually uses it want MHL but wants usb mini + hdmi mini so you can actually do usefull stuff with usb OTG and HDMI simultaniously.

It’s NOT that much cooler, it’s that much crapier. Why oh why ? Cause i only need to have my hdmi port carrying phone with me and use the available hdmi cable when i go toa friends house. While the oh my gosh orgasmic Galaxy S II forces you to have the cable with you in your pocket. hahahaha What a waste of thinking from samsung.

It can connect to any existing TV with the appropriate adapter. (Kristin Uchiyama, Marketing Communications Manager, MHL, LLC)

what are you on about?! This mobile has the latest android yeah….well the galaxy s also has the latest android too. It has received a Gingerbread update!. Only diff between this and galaxy s is the hardware. not OS.
