Sony Xperia Z2 gets rooted

Sony Xperia Z2 is yet to go on sale across the globe, but the developers have already found a way to gain root access on the smartphone.

The rooting process for the Xperia Z2 requires you to unlock its bootloader before being able to flash the Kernel and install SuperSU to gain the root access. The device has also received ClockworkMod based recovery, which has been built from CWM 6.0.4.6 sources.

The source link below has all the instructions and the necessary tools to root your Xperia Z2. Before continuing with the procedure, please keep in mind that the rooting or flashing process involves some risk and would void your warranty. So, proceed with the instructions only if you are sure about what you are doing.
