ultrabook = super thin/portable like a netbook and have price around $800 to $1800 (highest spec) which is cheaper compare to Vaio Z21. Considering new Vaio Z21 goes for like $2k+ for its lowest spec and fetch up to $3k+ for better spec. So this series can save u around $1k++

the heat doesn’t bother me too much, I’ve had my HP Folio 13 for a couple months with no heat problems and the 8 hours of real life battery time is amazing but I only picked this up because it was going pretty cheap and I was in desperate need of something reliable with a good keyboard. The only issue I have is with the fan being so audible but that will hopefully dissapear with a BIOS update, my point though is if you waited this long to get into the Ultrabook market, why not wait a couple more months and bring out a product that can trump in battery life and heat issues.

wake up SOny! IT’s 2012! no room for mediocre designs like these anymore. Sadly, but in a few years from now Sony famous Vaio notebook division will be a history. Sad but true.

At least we see a preview of the specs that the macbook Air will have in 3 years. Just kidding, I haven’t been up to date on computer specs lately. I just know that I was about to buy a Macbook pro but got turned off because it had the exact same specs as my 3 year old vaio at the time. That was about 2 years ago.

Why on Earth would you want Apple hardware? No USB3, no HDMI, no Bluray… yes, you can get an adapter for HDMI, but 1st I don’t want to carry adapters with an Ultrabook and 2nd I doubt it can output dolby true-hd. Besides Macbook air’s battery life is worse, than what Sony advertises.
