Sony updates its Walkman, Album and Movies app

Sony is officially rolling out an update for its media applications – Walkman, Album and Movies. The most important change is these apps now have a better integration with all of your media in the cloud.

The Walkman media app now comes with Sony’s Music Unlimited integration, which allows you to search across local and the cloud contents. The update also brings a few new social sharing features that enable you to discover, play and share tunes across your social channels.

On the other hand, the latest version of Album app is now integrated with the PlayMemories and gives you the option to upload, access, and browse your PlayMemories library in the cloud. The Other noticeable update is the recall playback, which displays a slideshow, aiming to bring back memories of occasions and events.

Lastly, the Movies app comes with a revamped user interface with a banner video function for trailers and recently played videos. The update also brings seamless access to Sony’s Video Unlimited.

The updates for the Sony media app is currently available for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Tablet Z. The users of these devices will receive a notification and will be able to download the updates over-the-air or via update center.
