Even though I’ve never owned one, the X10 is that one device I always kind of wanted, I just seemed to have gone with something else. Also I wasn’t totally sold on the Android platform, I loved my blackberry til it died. The X10 is a stunning device, and as beautiful as the Arc is, the solid look of the X10 just out dose it for me. I think if it’s able to, just give it that final little push to v.2.3 and let it be. It’s probably one of my favorite devices SE has put out in a long time.

Yep .. so true i’m running MIUI (Froyo) ROM on my X10 and it’s amazing, so much additional features, and no lags.

I still can’t take my eyes off of this stunning looker even after one year being around :)
The only thing that comes closer to the X10 in design wise is the Arc, but the X10 wins, all the other Samsung and LGs are iPhone wannabes, HTC ?? meh! same looking boring fugly bricks!

for all the negative press the x10 has got, mine runs great on cyanogen 6.1 froyo. Flies, no lag, full multi touch, etc. Absolutely no issues. I know some people want official updates to come out, but lets stop complaining and head on over to xda :)

You just have to blame AT&T. All new SE droids are launching with Gingerbread, while some other so called superphones are still launching with Froyo.

I bet you never even held Arc in your hands you pathetic noob.. it’s pretty much the best android phone out there after the sgs 2.
And the appeal factor when you play around with it is incredible – not even the iphone or sgs 2 can top it.SE(or are there us carriers to blame??) is making A HUGE MISTAKE for not providing Arc on contract in the states – i’m absolutely certain that the phone would be a massive win and hit.
There’s just no other android(except the pricier sgs 2 that is) that can compare with it’s well rounded multimedia qualities and appeal.
You just have the impression of a mature and well thought product – unlike the likes of optimus 2x, atrix and, to a degree bulky, unconfortable HTC incredible S.

As for this x10 fiasco, i think AT&T made things way harder to make update possible – unlocked x10′s are the proof of that – with the latest update from a week ago x10 is actually a very decent piece of kit and the best droid for the buck out there.

Oh, c’mon, the Arc is a good phone. You can hardly find a negative user review of it.
