Some people need to get their facts straight. These are all windows phones and they are pretty much the same.I love the design on the 8x and I don't understand why some of you think its a copy of the lumias or the n9 or whatever . This design has many elements from the one x like the front glass and the soft-touch polycarbonate unibody. The sharp edges and the pyramid like structure it completely new. Its just an extremely well engineered design and i believe HTC has taken more effort into the design than Nokia or even samsung. Design on the ativ s may be aluminium but its not like the aluminium found on old HTC phones either. Its more of a cheaper, plasticy kind of aluminium. It can even bend. But Samsung has made it so that it feels like aluminium but it keeps it light and thin (unlike the lumia 920, which it really thick and just downright heavy). Nokia just took their lumia 900 and made it bigger with a few design tweaks (like a slightly curvier back). The rest of the internal specs are pretty much the same - the dual core s4, nfc...- but their are a few small differences. The screen is one of them. The screen on the 8x is the same as on the one x except a but smaller. The super lcd2 on the one x is also the best mobile display on the market right now( other than the SuperLCD3 on the j butterfly which will make its way to the us and the rest of the world soon). Yes, the lumia is responsive and bright and all but HTC did not really advertise their screen. They didn't when they announced the one x either and it turned out to be unbelievable. The camera on the 8x and the camera in the lumia 920 are actually pretty similar - even though Nokia overhyped their camera. The 8x front camera is also muuucccchhh better. The 8x not only has beats audio - which I believe is more than just a simple equalizer, I believe it adds a bunch of software enhancements as well - but it also has a new amplifier built in. The 8x might not be as thin as the ativ s on paper but it feels as thin due to the extremely thin edges - which the photos do no justice to. The 8x may have the smallest battery of the bunch but it also has the smallest screen . It may only have 16gb of storage but remember that there is another HTC windows phone device In the works which is why - I believe - the 8x actually has limited storage and a relatively small display. This choice between these phones might be swayed due to personal interest but its your choice.

I think so this is a really good phone and enough to do for everything, but if you wanna get a great deal should buy it with a unlimited internet package.Well a Galaxy S3 costs 28 Pd. and this will be same, but should be only 22 Pd and then this is a nice choice.

Right there is one thing I sort of agree with, (even if this rAnjeth is a complete and total jack***), is that the beats mode with beats headphones definitely does add to the quality of audio.

I listen to music literally everyday, its my life, i travel to work listening to music, I sit at my desk listening to music and right as we speak, I'm listening to music :)

I am currently using iPhone 5 (Work purposes), but my HTC One X sounds far better, clearer and louder with richer deeper basses when enabling beats eq mode compared to iPhone 5.

But, beats is just an EQ mod with a db gain built in, and when it comes to clarity and volume, the Blackberrry Bold 9900 is the top of mark in music. It's incredible and if it wasn't such a limited phone to apps I'd stick with it. Anyway, looking forward to my 8X arriving at my desk on Tuesday!!!!!

I like many features for many phones, at the moment and has been for a while, windows is my flavour for OS, but, I appreciate android massively, and I like... one or two things from iOS... *spit*.

Ciao.

I've been more or less hovering the cursor over the preorder button for days now. Need your audio test see if I should click it. Seeing the audio performance of the last year it would be surprising if they fail, especially since I believe the output amp is the same that gave their recent droids so great results, but you never know.
