Problem is they die a horrible and sudden death after a few thousand writes – so the less you write to them the better. Reading is fine, so they work nicely for a boot drive.

This looks to me as though it is a 3.5″ external. Not ideal unless you just want to leave its massive bulk in one place. I’ll be happy when they release a 2.5″ with this capacity at a reasonable price.
