actually USB cables ratings does matter when you wish to transmit more charge through them.... normal USB data cables are unable to do above 1000mA (in theory) while actual throughput is 10~15% lower

I never said you said that. I simply added a point. That's all. And I never said that people that use their phones more are no-lifers, I meant those that would spend the whole time to run out the battery, that means 9 or 10 hours. If you use it for so much - then I do call that person a no-lifer. What I said was that the HTC is barely superior in web browsing, but S4 is a lot more superior in the overall endurance. Meaning that the HTC will win only if you spend so much time on your phone daily and that is in web browsing only. So the standby is important here.

Wait.. when did I say the S4 was inferior? All I was trying to say is that standby times are not as important as actual usage times as you were trying to suggest that people who use their phones more in a day are no-lifers and standby times are what matter more. I even said both are good enough for a day's real-life usage. So you trying to justify is a wasted effort, there really was no need for it.

You've just answered your own question. The actual usage is important, but not "much more important" than standby unless you spend too much time on the phone. If you're not a no-lifer, the chances are that you will not spend more than 50% of your life on the phone, so standby is VERY important as well.

If you'd look closer to the battery tests, Galaxy S4 wins by a few minutes in everything except the web browsing so S4 is not inferior in heavy usage but pretty much alike, minus the whites on AMOLED. And S4 lacks behind only by an hour in web browsing, so unless you spend 7-8 hours on the browser straight, I can't see HTC One beating the Galaxy S4 in any way. Just a little time on standby on both devices from 100% to 0% will make the S4 last longer.
