Samsung Galaxy S II launching on 27 April in UK, says phones4u

The launch date for the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II got moved around quite a bit but, for the UK at least, it has finally settled to 27 April from Phones 4u. If you pre-order sooner, you can score a free 8GB microSD card too.

It was set for an UK launch in May but Phones 4u are quite eager and will be releasing it on 27 April. Then the phone will be available online and in stores.

Right now only Orange is listed as a carrier – plans start at £35/month (phone is free) or £499 if you want to get it pre-paid.

Oh, and if you pre-order the Galaxy S II online before 27 April, you get a free 8GB microSD card (to expand the 16GB/32GB of built in memory of the phone).

We have a preview for the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II if you need to get up to speed with those two phones.
