Likewise with yourself. :) And yes, it's a good idea to own both platforms, that way you have "covered" more availability with features and apps. I'm not sure about the number of quality apps, because as far as I saw the App Store, there were lots of bloat, just as in Android, sop it's really difficult to tell which one has the advantage here. However, in overall, iOS has more available apps than Android, for now at least, because Google's sweating to catch up. Also, a lot of games come to iOS prior to Android. This is because iOS draws more profit from users than Android does, so it lures developers to launch the games on iOS first. Of course, there's also the factor that Android is a very wide platform, with different hardware and different resolutions, so it can delay the release even further.

By the way, my name is actually Vince, not Ricky. :D When Samsung announced that the I9250 will be called Galaxy Nexus instead of Nexus Prime, some reader on GSMArena was unsatisfied and said, "naming it Galaxy Nexus is like naming your child Ricky Bobby". That gave me a nice laugh, so I came up with this name, adding "Johnson" to it, because it's the first name I could think of.

Thanks for the reply Ricky! That is very informative~ Its a pleasure to be sharing thoughts about this with you.. :D Hehe. I do hope I get a taste of Jelly Bean & iOS someday! I own 2 Android devices at the moment... Both of them running ICS. Although one of they were upgraded from Gingerbread & Honeycomb, so I got to experience from the older generation to the latest one. I'm waiting for my Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Jelly Bean update, to see myself the Project Butter experience! Hehe. For iOS, I'm planning to buy an iPod Touch at least as a start off.. To see if I like the simplicity of the OS. Just waiting for the budget & I'm excited to own devices that runs on both platforms! To me, iOS still has the advantage for the number of quality apps available. Im particularly interested to play games on iOS :)

The thing is, except for your warranty, you pretty much have nothing to lose, if it goes wrong, you can change it and try again something else, or you can even go back to the officials.

About iOS, it seems so because iOS is light, almost weightless, I can say. Android has much more to offer, but then it requires much more power to run. And I clearly suggested that iOS is incapable of running so many processes as Android is. It's nothing to "guess" here, you can see for yourself. The way Google made Android, manufacturers altered and carriers re-altered it isn't perfect, so for bigger features it offers, it may not be as smooth, but that doesn't mean you can't improve it to make it both, bigger and smoother than it's rivals. Also, it only gets less smooth and laggier than iOS only if you exceed the usage of Android than iOS. (I'm not talking about old and weak Android phones as I had no experience with them, so I can't tell anything about them other than what I've heard from fanboys) Clearly, Google wanted Android to be stronger and more powerful than it's rivals while ignored the fact that the hardware (of that time) wasn't capable of running it properly, making them lag. But since Jelly Bean, Google has concentrated solely on the issue. Of course, the reputation of Android still talks that Android is laggy and stuff (even though, you have the ability to remove the lag and improve the speed), but no phone I've tested with Jelly Bean (with official stock ROMs) has been less smooth than iOS. From the two and a half year old Galaxy S to the S III, HTCOX and my friend's LGO4X.

Yes true... Sometimes we feel outdated if our devices are not updated to the latest firmware.. But I guess there's a reason they are not doing so because of the hardware. If we want update with custom ROMs then that is our risk to take but hey, it can turn out good if nothing goes wrong! But it all depends on our preference~

Btw about iOS, don't you think it is much more smoother, faster & lighter than Android? To me it is because even on old hardware it the latest OS runs smoothly without any decrease in performance. Well I'm no Apple fanboy because I'm a multi-platform kind of user ;) Hehe
