Samsung Exhibit 4G paid us a visit, we filmed it [VIDEO]

Samsung continues with its U.S. offensive, folks. The latest droid to come from the Korean giant – the Exhibit 4G for T-Mobile, offers an interesting blend of high-end, and budget phone features. When we spent a few minutes with it about a month ago, we came out quite impressed. So when an opportunity came for more quality time with the device, we barely hesitated.

The Samsung Exhibit 4G is powered by an 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor with Hummingbird chipset. Think, the Galaxy S internals from last year. Its 3.5″ AMOLED screen with 480×800 pixels resolution, despite not being from the latest generation of displays by Samsung, is a beauty to look at. The 3.2MP camera is not in line with the best units on the market today but, at the price range of the device, we cannot demand it to be.

As you can see from the pictures above, the device feels quite compact when held in hand. At 125 grams of weight, it is light enough to suit just about anyone’s needs. It appears to us that 3.5″ screen size is the sweet spot between physical ergonomics and usability today.

The Samsung Exhibit 4G runs Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, which has been dressed by Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. The functionality of the latter is well known already. You can see it on video below:

The Samsung Exhibit 4G retails for $79.99 with a two year commitment from T-Mobile today. It can however, be found for free through authorized dealers as well. We have a more thorough review in the works, so stay tuned.
