Based on my experience, yes. RRoD sucks. Period. The latest 360 (Slim) has done away with RRoD.
Critical errors still exist mind, but they’re less frequent than RRoD.
YLoD (Yellow Light of Death) is rare, but it has still conquered a number of PS3s. – The emphasis here is, no piece of technology is perfect. Microsoft f**ked up with the original (including Elite) 360, but they’ve learnt from their F’up. -
That doesn’t make it any good…
As you pointed out with the Halo franchise, it is worth it if you’re already heavily invested in XBL.

Not at all. But I have to agree, all this “beef” over a mere 5USD/month for cross-game chat (Xbox LIVE Parties are Da BOMB, son!)…
It’s worth it (IMO). I think that’s what ‘lee’ was getting at; the fact that you disqualify cross-game chat for such a small investment.
But hey, we’re all entitled to an opinion.

Agreed, MGS is awesome! I wasn’t too keen on Guns of the Patriots, and MGS2/3/Peace Walker are available for the 360.
The Twin Sakes isn’t :-( but that’s what a PS2/GameCube is for… ;-)
