i think its didn’t sell so well because they didn’t market well, you know?
that phone would totally work on my service provider, Fuzion Mobile! Everything is unlimited and literally only $50 a month. Its incredible!

they released it in tmo.. its a carrier that is mostly used by families on a budget… they should have given it to the other 3 providers with more power users …plus the 350 return fee turned a lot of people off..

I am a fan of both android and google. Unfortunately N1is not among my favorites. It feels CHEAP (check it out before you order one!!!). I liked HD2 alot more (the hardware, not the OS). I hope HTC puts out an android version, or xda-devs port android over to HD2.

well maybe if google decided to stop being so greedy and just allow t mobile to sell it in stores and not just through google maybe more than 130k would be sold. i for instance would love to early upgrade from my cliq to the nexus but i cant do that through google only through t mobile.

Google is being uncharacteristically idiotic.

I am from Bangalore (India) and would have bought this phone in a jiffy despite its crazy price. But, ahh no…, the phone isn’t available for my country. India has ~400 million mobile subscribers (and growing). Granted, the vast majority of that number buy only low-end phones, but there exists a large base of people who are crazy about high-tech phones and are driven to buy them.

Daily, I stare at the “Google Nexus not available in your country/region” and feel like beating someone.

TMobile isn’t a bad carrier, the problem is, people want to be able to upgrade their phones and keep their family plans.

If you’re an existing T-Mobile customer, you can’t get the phone at a subsidized upgrade rate unless you opt for a crappy single line account.

I’ve been with TMobile, and my contract runs out next month, I want a Nexus, but I refuse to pay over $500 for a phone.

Yes, it’s unlocked, but who cares? I don’t NEED it unlocked, I have NO intention on leaving TMobile. If they come to their senses by Tax day next month, and allow me to upgrade to the Nexus, with the subsidized price, I’d get it for sure.

Whoever had the be bright idea to limit the plan type should be horse whipped, there are too many other options out there, so it’s really hard to try to strong arm people into buying unlocked phones. Who can afford that in this day and age? I mean, I COULD buy it, but I flat out refuse.
