CD Projekt RED accidentally sent out a premature free DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game on PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace. Marcin Momot, community lead at CD Projekt Red warned that the free Ciri DLC offering new outfit should be avoided until it is released again.

Instagram quietly bumps up the resolution of its photos

Hero4 Session is GoPro’s smallest camera yet, waterproof without case

GoPro has announced its smallest camera ever. Dubbed Hero4 Session, the new device is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than other Hero4 models, the company claims. “We challenged ourselves to produce the smallest, lightest, most convenient GoPro possible,” said Nicholas Woodman, the company’s founder.

The Hero4 Session is capable of capturing 1080p videos at 60 fps, 1440p at 30 fps, and 720p at 100 fps. There is, however, no support for 4K nor 720p at 240fps modes. It can shoot 8MP stills, and can go up to 10m underwater without needing a case. Read more »

Intel Compute Stick now available for purchase in India

The Intel Compute Stick, which was announced back in January this year and went on sale in the US in the month of April, is now available for purchase in India.

Oppo R7 battery life test

Oppo R7 is quite an interesting smartphone, which upgrades on the super thin Oppo R5. The new R7 brings back the 3.5mm jack and adds extra battery capacity at the price of 1.4mm of extra thickness. We also get dual-SIM connectivity, a microSD expansion slot, a higher-res selfie camera and enhanced rear snapper this time around.

The Oppo R7 keeps the same key hardware specs – a 5″ AMOLED 1080p display, the same Snapdragon 615 chip, this time around with 3GB of RAM, and runs on the aging Android KitKat. Russian lawmakers approve controversial Internet privacy law

The Russian parliament passed a controversial Internet privacy law yesterday that makes it mandatory for Internet search engines to remove certain search results about a person at their request.

Under the new legislation – which seeks to emulate EU’s right to be forgotten law – a person can request online search engines like Google to remove search results related to them that they deem are incorrect, no longer relevant, or illegal. Read more »

OnePlus Cardboard can now be ordered for free, though you do pay shipping

Back when it revealed that it would launch its next smartphone in VR, OnePlus also made its own version of Google’s Cardboard official. The Chinese company promised to make this available to people before its grand unveiling event for the OnePlus 2, which will happen on July 27.
