What everyone fails to notice us that Opera Mini is a different kind of browser. I have an HTC Desire and use its stock browser for most things. When I'm out of 3G coverage area, I switch to GSM and use Opera, as it is so much faster. Don't expect the full internet from Opera Mini. Notice the word Mini. Opera Mini is not comparable to Safari or stock Android browser. Opera Mobile is. That is not currently available on either Android or iPhone, unfortunately.

The unique selling point (oxymoron, I know. Opera Mini is free) of Opera Mini is that it reduces data consumption and provides fast internet browsing on slow data connections while rendering web pages almost exactly as publishers intended them.

Don't set your expectations too high for the little guy. It does brilliantly the job it has set out to do.

I would prefer Opera mini againts standard mobile browser one like Symbian^3. But i find it useless in an iPhone, since safari delivers an excellent browsing experience. Its fast and no glitches.

i downloaded it and i wasn't very impressed (i do like the fullscreen mode). as for speed, i usually browse the web on my home wi-fi network, which isn't slow, so i don't notice any improvements.
