Dude, stop fanboying…the PSP Vita suffers the same fate as the original PSP.
1 – touch-screen gimmicks – I fail to see the reason for them in a GAMING CONSOLE…side thing – sure, but as far as I’m concerned, that is no advantage over a phone/tablet or even MP3 player…if fall for that, how about we just port the Kinect to a hand-held, see how well that goes.
2 – price is certainly not fair for what it offers, hell noone even bought the 3DS at that price, that says more than enough.
3 – $40 is reasonable for a few games that are actually worth while, as I said, I’ve seen quite a few games in demo sections and most of them are mediocre or terrible versions of their PS3 counterparts.
4 – oh you mean the “1 account only”, forced format if you want to change the account with no way to backup the data, the INSANELY OVERPRICED memory cards, no backwards compatibility with the UMD discs (which killed the PSP if I may add)…

The PSP Vita is barely keeping up with the 3DS, and the 3DS is now threatened by mobile devices…see where I’m going?

P.S. try outputting your PSP Vita’s video to a 1080p TV.

There you go, then. For you, the iPod Touch makes far more sense. If you were primarily interested in gaming on your device, a Vita or 3DS might. It just depends what you want out of them.

Well yeah, a new Ouya each year pretty much kills it chances. No stability in the platform at all.

I would pick up iPod Touch any day because it performs amazingly well in most of the tasks , browsing , take decent pics ,shoot 1080p video , music , apps , games , social networking , mails , and movies but still amazingly thin and light.

Then , add an accessory to it , so many accessories are coming for iP5 and itouch 5 every month.

Apps/Games cost how much ? $1 or $6.99 mostly ? pretty decent gaming device for average people and also performs other things decently with great ease.

Updates come quickly , Access to iTunes store , Appstore , iBooks which have largest collection of media and content compared to Playstore , amazon etc.

Where as Vita and 3DS focus more on gaming and ignore other aspects.

I’m not quite sure whether ULP Geforce in Tegra 4 would be able to beat SGX 544MP4. Tegra is known to come out with less powerful GPUs for high ends.
