These statistics are for the US (or possibly North America; not much difference there) only. That is especially confusing since the graphic still shows that Ovi… err Nokia Store has more than 50,000 apps, but of course Nokia’s market share in the US is very small. Globally the Nokia Store is considerably bigger than the Blackberry App World just like the number of apps also indicates.

There’s few people like you said, most of them just do PIRACY, useless to try to denied that, i have seen android users in this site even brag about how they get everything free.

“Piracy” is not a bad thing. People who buy apps can try them out at their hearts content first and pay later.

People who don’t pay for apps wouldn’t have paid for them anyway, so nobody lost a thing.

If anything, they can at least get the word out for apps they liked, so others can buy them. And publicity = good.

Your numbers mean nothing.

Heh, there’s stuff in the Apple app store for every kind of useless junk imaginable and that’s why there’s so many of them. On top of that, Apple sometimes does stuff like making individual books into separate apps etc. to boost their numbers and try to milk more money out of their users.

Hmm, but there seem to be quite a few Android apps as well.. Dunno if I should be too happy, because that should say a thing or two about their average quality.

Interesting, appstore has 500 000 apps in May 2011. 14 july 2011 android market has 250 000 according google. So android growht has slowed down a lot, i mean a lot. Reasons are app piracy and big fragmentation. It’s interesting because year ago android fans said how fast android market is going ahead appstore, but the android openess already show’s it’s bad sides, it’s not only good thing.

More apps at Apple app store, Android close behind, more Android phones than iPhones, tripling of total app revenue overall in 2011, from 2010.

One conclusion I seem to be getting is that competition is hot, and it is benefitting us customers :)
