yeah fishboi its very easy just to said than dont buy that expensive toy,the only professional tools is office, and almost as same as ipad or android tablets which mean just another ipad wanna be, right? so what the point for nokia to spend money for research if the only thing they can do is making another look a like or wanna be devices?
it is also mean most of you here just hoping for your fave brand to make the same device just like ipad or android tablet without different functionality, just another tablet with nokia name on it hu? so i’m the only moron here who want more from that expensive thing? hu?
@c9931c606ee1d0537bf0ec3530e8c99f:disqus oh yeah in real analyst the USB OTG chip will add 100 dollars? sdcard slot also very expensive,maybe around 200 dollars? micro usb for charging port also a new thing so aspect it will be around 150 dollars per port, the hdmi also will burn your saving account because it will add around 300 dollars to spend, but the real world FACTS as i’m not a pro tech analyst like you tell that even a cheap symbian phone like c6-01 have micro usb for charging,sdcard slot,usb otg, you can also meet hdmi port as an common port with some other phone like n8, motorola atrix lg 2x etc and dont forget sammy already have galaxy note which can do the handwriting recocnition and… yessss usb host mode and sdcard slot are oldschool tech, you can find it in most of the phones from around 2006 and for usb otg/host mode had been there since linmo and winmo, how can it add the tablet price to 1000 bucks will be a greedy marketing campaign to be the answer.
what i want and hope from win 8 tablet is simple, please make a usefull laptop replacement nokia and dont make another toy

@moron if you want a desktop version then dont buy a tablet, just as simple as that. BTW win 8 tablets have microsoft office too, you can work with your files, the same experience like the desktop version and of course you need to have a portable keyboard. And if you compare win 8 tablet to an ipad, it is clear that you can do more on win 8 tablet.

that photoshop is a joke compared with the pc one. its a simple image editing app, like thousand others, with a big name…
im aware photoshop as it is now is not usable on touchscreen, but if windows tablets are capable of running photoshop, developers will adapt the ui.
however, because capacative screens are not very sensitive and precise at the moment, it would be difficult to use photoshop on any tablet for serious image editing

but my point is that tablet apps NOW give you 5% of functionality of pc versions. so why buy a tablet which offers 5% of functionality for the same price as a decent laptop

@fishboi. i know samsung win 8 tablet have desktop dan mobile version and i know ARM chipset will get the mobile version without desktop version, so no desktop version mean just an ipad wanna be rigth?
@zzu. i am not fandroid, i’m waiting for a tablet that can do the real job not just an expensive browsing machine and game console.
@aed9cf3fbed63c918fcdfc31a917f182:disqus . yeah the answer maybe an ipad minus the sdcard slot, minus usb otg functionality, minus the standart micro usb for charging and data port and still no handwriting recognition cause mr steve jobs hate writing on screen. oh and i dont know if ipad can browse my file at other pc in the same network, an expensive toy right?
yeah i think i have to stick with the old notebook or netbook with 1 kilo weight without charger at my bag.
so i think no body in the world need a light tablet that can carry around with standart charging port and can plug into tv or monitor and easily replace your book cause you can draw and write on it and thats called marketing?? so marketing basic is to create something that look like ipad? and wish it will sell like ipad?

i wish someone at nokia put functionality more than just trying to make a sexy dumb expensive tablet.
