The Nokia 710 is close to launch and so Nokia has released a new video for the device. The video is actually quite similar to that of the Lumia 800 and part of their ‘The Amazing Everyday’ campaign.
The video is very basic and instead of doing anything fancy chooses to talk about some of the salient features of the device, such as the interchangeable back covers, the integrated social networking services, Nokia Maps with the Nokia Drive feature for turn-by-turn voice navigation and the 5 megapixel camera. All of this is matched by snazzy music in the background.
The Lumia 710 may not have attracted as much attention as the Lumia 800 but for the price at which it will be selling (around $380 unlocked) it’s a lot better value. It has the same basic internal hardware as the 800, which includes the 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM, 3.7-inch 800 x 480 resolution display and a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash with 720p video recording. It chooses to cut costs in other areas, by using a simpler plastic design, LCD instead of AMOLED display, and 8GB internal memory instead of 16GB.
That’s still a lot for the price and it will be worth checking out this phone when it goes on sale later this month.
