Nokia brings Internet radio to S40 devices (meaning X2 and X3, for now)

Internet radio is nothing new to Nokia smartphones but it’s only now that it’s making its debut on the company’s feature phones too. S40 devices just got a client that gives them access to thousands of online radio stations all over the world.

There’s also the necessary functionality to make finding the station you want easy. All the stations are organized by genre, language, countries and regions, but you can also search for a specific name. You can also mark stations as favorite so you can easily find them later.

Finally, if you like a particular song you can hit the shortcut to Ovi Music and purchase it straight away.

Nokia Internet radio is currently in the beta stages of its development and is only compatible with the Nokia X2 and Nokia X3 (-00, -01, and -02). As the work on it continues though, more devices will be added to the list.

You can get the app by following the link, but you will need to create a Nokia account before that (if you don’t have one already).
