maybe the phone is innovation
but i bet this could get get the same result out of every fullhd phone out there
it’s not about the camera it’s about his knowledge in photography and the heavy processing tricks he did later on computer

Unfortunately that’s how (most) lens work. The F-stop reduces as we zoom. Very few lenses have fixed aperture. I think for RX100, the F-stop reduces quite fast.

Hi! The RX100 would probably perform better yes! But it aint got 41 megapixel either. So my take on this is that I think that Nokia did a great job in “downsampling” this sensor to 2 megapixel for full hd video, without any moire or aliasing. But if it had the same megapixel account as the RX100 21 megapixel, it would perform better overall. Lesser noise etc. But RX100 is also just a camera not a mobilephone. Thats important to someone. This test was only to see how a mobilephone would perform.

Hi! The RX100 is a great camera. I just bought it the other day. Compact and with a great zoom, though what keeps boothering me is that f-stop is variable so it changes when you zoom so you cant really zoom in low light. Though the sensor is fantastic, when you have to crank up the iso, it still delivers. Great video you had there with the Nexus!
