I use openSUSE, stopped using ubuntu after being such a large ad, and kubuntu after it wiped my HDD by itself during installation, and debian when I found it removed wireless drivers of my laptop’s wireless card from the linux kernel (they were there, they removed them, some stupid FOSS thing)

really I think most people should stop using ubuntu and switch to mint or debian

The average user doesn’t want stability? It’s not like the LTS releases use versions from that far back anyway.

yes, I meant those guys, but for the average user, newer features are much more important than stability, what would happen if the computer crashed every now and then

It’s not only for servers. It’s for those (enterprises/companies/individuals) who prefer stability over new features and don’t want to upgrade desktop OS after every 6 months. Even I use 12.04 on both my laptop and desktop
