While we may argue, as you said, that if it suits one’s need sales figures don’t matter, it’s always nice if the product you have is widely adopted, more developer support because a lot of people own it, which leads to more apps and customizations that we can’t get if there are a few people who own it, which in turn adds better value to the product.
