Microsoft held their E3 press conference today, ahead of the actual E3 Expo start tomorrow. There are also tons of things we’d like to share with you. The show gave us a glimpse of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Tomb Raider, Mass Effect 3, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, UFC, Gears of War 3, RYSE, Fable The Journey, Forza Motorsport 4, Kinect Star Wars, Halo Anniversary, Halo 4 and many more.
The Xbox conference started with a gameplay demo of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, showing beautiful graphics, engaging gameplay and other awesome stuff. Here is the video:
Mass Effect 3 also had a short demonstration. The only thing we learn is that there will be some sort of Kinect integration. You will be able to give voice commands on your teammates and also use voice commands in dialogues. That’s it. We’ll see more from Mass Effect 3 later from BioWare.
Expectedly, Microsoft announced Halo Anniversary. It’s a remastered version of the first Halo: Combat Evolved and will bring the Halo pioneer into the HD era with completely new graphics, remastered sound, updated campaign, multiplayer maps, multiplayer gaming and co-op via Xbox Live. Halo Anniversary will become available on 15 November this year.
Peter Molyneux appeared to demonstrate a new Fable game with full Kinect support. It’s called Fable: The Journey (note this is NOT Fable IV) and should bring lots of Kinect fun. Look at that magic stuff:
Microsoft and Disney combine powers to bring Disneyland in your home with the Disneyland Adventures. It’s a Kinect game that has a copy of the whole Disneyland inside it. It looks pretty awesome… if you are a kid, that is.
Kinect Star Wars – also expected. Here is the video:
The Microsoft conference ended with an announcement for a new Halo trilogy, starting with Halo 4 in holiday season 2012. No Bungie here guys, 343 Industries takes the lead. Let’s hope they won’t screw the Halo universe.
