butI think you would be able to install your software on anything, just like any windows version, even if you can’t (for the W8 apps) 23 GB is enough for all your software

You probably don’t understand the power of C, Objective-C and Cocoa! I agree on how you see with C# & Windows SDK it is easier compared to developing in iOS. That was not my intention. I assumed you hated C/C++ since you hated Java (a language in the C-family). But I was obviously mistaken.

I hate C# since it is a Java rip-off with some Microsoft specific features. They claim it is platform-independent but it runs only on Windows, which isn’t entirely their fault, but still…

Other than the lack of pointers, Java is a beautiful language. It made the Internet possible. MS, again, just ripped off the JVM and JIT compiler.

C and C++ are great. I code Python in Vi (Best coding language), Java, C and C++, HTML, JavaScript in notepad++ and C# (Visual Studio). I’m sorry, but if you like Java you have to like C#, the two are pretty much the same.

A “real programmer” shouldn’t limit himself to a few languages, he should use as many as he gets his hands on and, even if he has favorites, shouldn’t allow them to cloud his judgement (Nor should he say arrogant things like “You obviously do not have a good programming taste if you like programming in the .NET Studio”).

Why did you assume I didn’t like C or C++? They were my first programming languages.
