integrated graphics have come a long way in intel my first dual core e5400 cant even play prince of persia sands of time since it didnt have shaders even version 1 or 2…my current i3′s HD2000 performs close to my lowest end asus 210 silent

I don’t care a bout other reviews, since i actually know how this review industry works ;) I’m a writer myself. No, i don’t think the Surface is a good laptop, nor a good tablet. It’s a good hybrid. I don’t like Sufrace especially, i use an Asus Win8 tablet. But I hate when people who don’t own or even try a device start giving advice, or more, start definitively deciding what should you like and what not. Based on other (paid) people’s reviews.

Surface is a device which doesn’t excel at anything.

Surface may just compete ultrabooks but it is difficult to use on a lap.

Yes , we can use it on a lap but not ‘practically’ easy.We have to adjust our posture in a specific way to use it.
I don’t see point of Surface pro when you have to carry it in a bag anyway because its battery life is short and also need to carry a charger.
Perhaps LTE iPad with guaranteed 8-10 hour battery life makes sense to me but not Surface pro because iPad is far more easy to use , has LTE/3G connectivity and cheaper.iPad already has so many apps and 40% enterprise penetration.

In short , Pro is a compromised/extra device which doesn’t really change the workflow much.

btw , I am using Windows 8 on my 4 year old core 2 duo quad PC , Lumia 820 , 3rd gen iPad and 3rd gen iPod Touch.So yes , I am quite familiar with Windows and Apple eco system.

It was only one example, so you think surface is good laptop? I mean device which you cant even use on your lap, i mean c’mon. Every reviews say its not very useful laptop or very useful tablet, its mediocre for both jobs.

That Satellite is good if you want a slow HDD and no discrete GPU. This could go on and on :)) To each his own, right! Cheers!

iOS takes 7 Gb on a 64 Gb iPad. Now take into account that iOS is a MOBILE OS. And it’s got no recovery partitions. And you still don’t get your 64 Gb. It is normal, if your brain cells are not dead (yet).
