WP7 should not be used for anything. It’s total crap that Nokia should get rid of before it’s too late. Nokia should have continued with Maemo back in the day or at least with MeeGo now. Getting in bed with Micro$oft and replacing MeeGo with WP7 is the biggest mistake ever made in the mobile world. Nokia should get rid of WP7 and Ballmer’s bitch Elop as soon as possible.

Ok guys, there is something you realy need to understand. There is an OS, and there is a platform.
Symbian is an operating system, and it has many platforms. the s60 platform was used for smartphones, while s40 was for deature phones. the s40 platform supports JAVA applications while the s60 also supports sis/sisx. another symbian platform is UIQ, and its apps are not compatible with s60.

This is absolute sh*t for Nokia, can they handle 4 or 5 different platforms in their hands? Handling too much of mobile phone platform would only worsen their stand in this generation’s “battle for phone supremacy”, instead of focusing on just one or two platform and stick with it so they would redeem themselves.

it is almost funny how people stick to this perception. So MS is behind the scheme to push Linux to the huge market of feature phones? Srsly? Or do you actually think, MS started all this to kill Nokia for fun, killing the biggest partner for their WP7 at the same time? C’mmon…

so is it goodbye symbian for good? so sad that the MeeGo project doesn’t go a long way. but in all it’s a welcome change for nokia together with windows 7 Mango. :)
