thats because symbian os is half a smartphone compare to android phone, i have N8, c6-01 and sgs, yes if it only on standby and doing a phone jobs, symbian phone will stay for 3-4 days without any problem, but once you use symbian phone like android phone which sync every couple minutes or hours depend on your settings and enable push info like updating your email, social network, RSS feeds and apps than you will see how android is more a battery efficient phone compare to symbian phone. symbian only efficient when you do nothing with the phone (no diff than a dumbphone) but when it working with internet, apps and widget like android phone, symbian will drain faster than most android with same size battery. just do your own test with two phones uploading picture to skydrive for example, you will see which one more efficient in working mode and these day, people dont buy a smartphone only for calling or sms because a cheap dumbphone can do that perfectly

I am an unfortunate user of this model LG 4X HD. The battery sucks: 4 hrs and it's gasping for breath: 10% remaining -- and I used it only for browsing and a few text msgs. After that time, it is almost unusable; always reminding you that there's no more juice and it wants to go to sleep. My iPhone 4S, which I use more extensively, lasts up to 8 hrs but with calls, Internet and email use, video watching, and playing music.

Lastly, the battery gets hot fast... Very hot. My personal experience... LG just couldn't get it right :(

you guys should compare it urself in real life to know for sure. by reading test result from GSMArena wont help at all, it bias ur brain.

I have compared LGO4XHD vs HTC1X vs SGS3 in term of battery endurance.
all in full brightness & heavy usage, the result:
"LG & Samsung come close (LG stays bit longer), while HTC fall far behind!"

try it urself to believe, i did & am satisfied with my LGO4XHD =)

cheers.
