is there no battery test for the lg? im looking for it, a real testt like web browsing how much it last

I am trying to update the phone’s OS to Ginger Bread atleast. Sick thing is that LG Mobile drivers are not recognizing it.

I bought unlocked LG Optimus 2x via ebay.com and the phone was shipped from Hong Kong. So I guess this phone is from HK and even I downloaded the drivers by mentioning that country too. My computer is not at all detecting my phone via Data cable as well as Bluetooth. S***Heads.

I have previously used Nokia (6233, N95), Sony (some model) and I haven’t had any difficulties for my pc to find my phone with those drivers.

LG (Lucky Goldstar) Life’s Good is only for their Company and “Life Gone” for customers of LG phones.

And phone’s batt life is terrible. Worse than other Androids. Always sleeps soon. And I should always search for a plug to put the charger in.

As far I’m concerned the 2.6.32.9 kernel works with android versions 2.3.7 and below, however 2.3.7 mostly is designed to work with the new 2.6.35.10/14 kernel for speed, battery life and memory management.

I have had this phone until january 2012 with no updates from Lg neither google, the phone kept rebooting itselfand when i called Lg, they asked me to return it to the “local dealer”. I bought this phone form someone as brand new in the box not a single sign of ever used. Lg is the biggest LIAR , i never received any updates because my phone was a Videotron and not Rogers or Bell. Lg provided the update to Rogers but not videotron, the question remains WHY the hell on earth would Lg do that?

Great phone for the price it can be had now :-) I’ve had mine a few weeks; running loads of apps, very stable and with no shutdowns, crashes or re-boots that people speak of. Gorgeous IPS screen and reasonable camera (for a mobile). It’s a great pity that a dual core phone like this isn’t being more proactively supported with the latest Android firmware updates. My old Samsung Ace was running Gingerbread and it was nowhere near as capable as this LG. I do hope this phone will get Ice Cream Sandwich in the not too distant future.

Spped has improved …. the lag during app installs has gone,lag suring swiping screens has also gone ….. but battery life has become bad ,,, I used to get around 25-30 hours on EDGE before the update on Froyo …. but now I have had a max of 14 hours …..
