Leaked photos of upcoming OS X version show new iOS 7-style UI

We are now hours away from Apple’s WWDC keynote, where the company will be showcasing the next version of its iOS and OS X operating system. That usually doesn’t stop people from leaking new information, however, and so we have these to look at.

What we have above are photos of the next version of OS X. As you can see, the iOS 7 influence is clear here. We can see a lot of translucency and a flatter UI for the application windows, Safari in this case. Another interesting thing to note is Control Center in the top left image, which can probably be accessed by two finger swipe from the left edge of the trackpad. The Notification Center has also been updated with an iOS 7 style UI.

This build does have some old-style icons, with only the Finder icon being new. The wallpaper is also from Mavericks. But that’s to be expected from an older build. We’ll see how much of this comes true in a few hours but from what I can tell, this looks legit.
