yeah lady… hold a Ipad and an small monitor without stand and the reaction gonna be the same… tablet is simply a squery screen…. so while Ur holding bot device over Ur head smash one after another on to Ur forehead and than rethink what Ur doing… and by the way patented style… what da hell… they do look different if U hold em in Ur hands… totaly different… and on top of that iif those 2 would be in white it would be easily recognizable even from quite far…

There are ni winners in this kind of ridiculous situation… already have an IPad and now i have a galaxy 10 …
Apple wants to us come back to the time where there are only one company for each service and he can be the king alone in the market..
We are in a globalized market everybody can make a good product and make money, that is how world works nowadays .. every phone or tablet or car or tv or freezer look alike and if you are no an expert on the subject you will find no difference in two kinds.. for me all cars look the same, but i can find which tablet is which with my eyes closed…

I know the article doesn’t say anything about “them having hard time pointing out the difference.” But that judge Koh “held both tablets above her head, one in each hand,” and “asked Samsung lawyers to identify which was which.”

So to tell which is which you have to know what they each look like (or at least one of them and then point that one out and then deduct that the other must be… well the other one) ;-)

That is why I pointed out that for not beeing able to tell which was which, you would have to be blind (or at least not know what the two looked like.) Because there are plenty of differences for them, not beeing “very similar.”

Yeah – had the judge shown the rear panel of the tablets, or the packaging, you could have told the difference. Besides, no one really makes a buying decision like “so this tablet *looks* like an iPad, I’ll go get it” — if someone wants an iPad, he’ll buy an iPad.

It’s like a schoolboy complaining to his teacher, “Teacher, his pen looks like mine — I don’t want him to use that pen!”

Guessed where Apple would have been, had everyone been behaving the same way Apple has been? Apple never really invented anything groundbreaking — it merely took existing technologies and polished them to look unique.
Everything that Apple can be proud of, was invented by someone else — Mac OS is heavily based on FreeBSD; GUI was Xerox’es idea; PCs, mice, portable music players, touchscreens, video calling — and finally, the notification bar — none of these were Apple’s ideas. They just took it.
