Things will still go in Apple’s favor w/the release of the iPad mini for the 7″ tablet market and iPad 4 for the majority.

although, the w8 tablets and nexus 10 will punch a hole, i doubt Apple’s position will be shattered.

Is that so? Because the build is really one of the things keeping me from buying the Note 10.1 for solely the Wacom pen (Apart from the ecosystem and TouchWiz), I’ve tried a number of in-store demos of the Note and the majority of the demo flex and creaks, which makes me think that it’s not just a bad batch by Samsung, but the overall build.

And since you have one, is the handwriting recognition any good? I write at an angle, does it’ll recognize it? And also, is the pen sensitivity any good as Samsung make it out to be?

The gnote 10.1 is actually doing fine, slightly boosted up samsungs market share, and looking at that vid which was posted in August, looks like some prototype or early stages of the device… I have a gnote 10.1 bought it last month and it certainly does not make that cracking sound

W8 tablets will undoubtedly take a big chunk of the marketshare, along with the Nexus, but I can’t really see other Android tablet selling like hot cakes, since they’ve been a poor selling device (Minus the N7, although every tablet in the dark pre-N7 world is rubbish anyway) can’t see how that fact would change with JB.

And with the flagship non-Nexus tablet (Currently the GNote 10.1) have such a legendary build quality, can’t really see how non-Nexus tablet would fare in this war.

Also got something to do with the fact they’re one of the most veteran player in the tech world, combine that with high prices consumer view them as a premium product and premium product equals status symbol.

Just like how people view Mercedes-Benz as a more premium brand than say, a Kia due to this fact.
