To be specific i just brought into your attention what was in the article.
BB going down??? no. I believe its more like; they were having a fun ride on a Ford but android and iOS came on a Lamborghini and overtook them. They were having the fun just like Nokia until they realized that somebody has overtaken!!!
Having said that i still want a BB Pearl. It is still in my wish list as a second phone. But only if they release an updated version of it.

You have a fair point but by this you imply that the torch wasn't clunky and the BB's released in like 2012 and late 2011 were clunky?

Doesn't make sense that the company would go backwards (haven't followed BB much)

The safest device is Blackberry, Motorola, and some Samsung device.
Those have FIPS security certification.

You can easily google which smartphones has FIPS certification.

.
Apple, Nokia, Symbian, WinMo, WP, and others, has never received FIPS certification. They are not secure enough. Be careful when storing your sensitive data on these phones or OS.

Software? No they weren't really targeted towards multi-media entertainment as other devices but did the business job just right

And BBM was PGDA until everyone decided to switch to Android and iOS

Hardware? I agree on that.

BB wasn't great - agreed but it is in no way clunky IMO ... Honestly looking back torch was one of the best devices I have ever owned all the way in 2010
