1) I quoted my original comment to show you how I was *hoping* the “rumor” (this is obviously more than a rumor of course, there is like 80% chance) was in fact true. When I comment on the news about an OEM possibly creating a phone-capable tablet, it is plain obvious we are talking in case the news is true. That’s enough I guess.

2) If the Note II is not ridiculous, then the 6″ device I was hoping for isn’t ridiculous either. Now I don’t get what your original objection to a 6″ tablet stems from (“…find it ridiculous for anyone to be holding up a 6″ “phablet” next to their ear”).

I think we’re done.

1) I don’t understand why did you quote your original comment. In your original comment you talk about multitasking of Windows Phone and you try to compare it with Note II. Just so you know Windows Phone =/= Windows RT. From doing some research about Windows RT, Windows RT can only run Metro apps. In addition, you switched from talking Windows Phone to Windows RT, so again, I don’t know why did you quote yourself. Also, from what I gather, you aren’t 100% sure the rumor holds, but you are just blindly assuming it is true.

2) Even though I don’t own any Note devices, from what I can see after watching a couple of videos, it doesn’t look that ridiculous. But again, this is only the user’s opinion. Whether you agree/disagree is up to you.

Let’s see if the multitasking naggers of Windows Phone can hold on to their Note II” CONSIDERING the news above turns out to be true. When the news article is in fact about a device which does make calls, it is obvious a predictive comment such as mine is assuming the news is actually true.
Intellectual integrity is a good thing ;)

2 – Really? 6 inches is suddenly too big? Aren’t we comparing it with a 5.5″ device, namely Note II? Isn’t Note II ridiculous when stuck to your face to make a call? Obviously I was talking about a device roughly the size of Note II.

You do realize that the news is still consider a rumor as there is no Windows RT device is out yet with phone call functionality.

2- “Smaller tablets” (around 6″), when capable of making calls, are basically phablets.

Just because you say smaller tablets that is around 6″ can be consider phablets doesn’t make that true. It is more or less how users define what can be categorize as a phablet. To me, just because a tablet that is around 6″ and is capable of making calls doesn’t make it a phablet. For one, since phablet can be consider part smartphone, it means you can actually hold the phone to your ear to make phone calls (just like how you would make phone calls using any smartphones). I find it ridiculous for anyone to be holding up a 6″ “phablet” next to their ear to make the phone call, which is why I don’t consider those as phablet, but as a mini tablet.

So in the end, I don’t see how you “win.”

A 6″ RT tablet making calls could be considered a phablet. As I had an encounter with an Android fan who kept going on and on about Android’s multitasking and giving me Note II as an example, I was mentally in a position to see a 6″ RT device (which makes calls) as a super multitasking device in the phablet category. It was my vision.
You should excuse me for expressing this vision in 2 lines, in a mobile tech site that has a piece about smaller Windows RT tablets that makes calls ;)
