If I correctly understood the article the IEEE 802.11ac must be used to gain 83% power efficiency between the router and the phone, right?

Here is the problem, by the time most people have access to IEEE 802.11ac enabled routers HTC One is a distant memory. Once again, HTC offers an expensive feature that is only beneficial to a handful of people but everyone else has to pay for the feature nonetheless.
