Developers have long looked into the underlying problem and as to why lag occurs, but of course, we are still waiting on a permanent death to lag!!!! According to the developer of LagFix, he believes he has created a solution to the issue and has released this tool to counteract it.

Root access
Load a Lite Custom ROM and Kernel at version 4.2.1
changed it to “performance governor” instead of interactive.
Use a very light launcher (No Bloat ware like TouchlagWhiz, HTC lagSense etc)
Daily reboots to reduce random hangs.
Twice weekly Dalvik cache resets to reduce stutter
Weekly full factory resets (Use titanium backup paid version for easy restore)
Seeder 2.0.0b entropy generator to provide most significant lag reduction yet seen

One simple home screen (flipping through 2-7 home screens can cause random stutter)
No fast movements, and
Wait for Android Beta 5.0 and the promise of more bug and lag fixes with Android 5.1
