I have the DNA got it yesterday I got home around 4:45 8% I do admit my school eats battery. But even now at my house i took it off 31% (bad I know) but its 20 minutes later 20% : if your looking for a long lasting battery this probably isn't the phone unless you use it lightly.
1 more thing. HTC sense normally drains 20-30% of the battery according to the battery statistics.

Oh yeah, that's fun, running from outlet to outlet... I'm sorry but I've done that enough with the droid, droid 2, thunderbolt (awful), and now I have the dna (do you?) and I'm greatly considering trading it for a gs3 cdma. If I was to break technology walls, I'm pretty sure the first thing I'd do was make sure it had the battery to gaurantee it would last. If you build a powerful PC, do you buy a small power supply? No, your first instinct is to buy a power supply that can handle the load.

I totally agree with what Anonymous is saying. I find myself asking the same questions. Why are people bitching so much about battery life? Anyone who spends 6 or more hours a day watching videos or playing games on their smartphone needs to get a life. Don't you own a TV or a video game console? Why are you on your smartphone so much? I would much rather have a clearer and sharper image on my screen for the time that I am actually on my phone, rather than having a longer batter life and not even using the full charge in one day.

Anonymous also brings up another good point, who out there doesn't have access to an outlet or a battery charger throughout the entire day? Have people gotten so lazy that they can't take 2 seconds to connect their phone to a charger? Geeze!

All that complaining about a smartphone that regularly receives compliments as having some of the best battery life around makes me question your smartphone usage. Does your daily routine/job require you to travel and be away from anywhere with an outlet/charger for more than 12 hours at a time? And within that time, those 12 hours, you're just using your phone?

it seems like you're not using the correct tools for the job, or are using the note 2 inefficiently. Why I say that? If you work out on the field, and are required to be talking on the phone for 12 hours, you should be using a "dumb phone", or if you need to be out on the field (aka away from a charger/outlet) then you should just bring small laptop or netbook with 4g and spare batteries (and seriously, who travels/works for 12 hours and surfs the internet in those 12 hours?)

I went from a blackberry curve (week long battery life under my usage) the one x international (6hr battery life) to the note 2 (2 day long battery life) and find it an acceptable balance for what it does. Smartphone battery life/tech isn't getting much better than the note 2 for awhile.

So until battery technology improves drastically, or they start putting in 4000-6000mAH batteries in smartphones, quit complaining and learn to live with it. You already have a smartphone that has significantly above average battery life.
