And it reloads the whole page every time you switch tabs, text scaling doesn't even works properly, and whoops, pinch-zomming is still jerky. Why would Goog set Chrome as the default in their new Nexus device baffles me.

Same, SE Arc S (not really fast, but browser shouldn't lag either)

I have heard somewhere that chrome with hardware acceleration and multithreading is designed in a way that latency and some lags are unavoidable, i hope that's not true.

This is the first time I hear someone else say that Chrome is slow compared to the stock browser. I thought I was the only one with this problem. Google actually made some improvements to chrome in the last update, but the big Internet icon still remains my go-to browser on my Note 10.1

Opera and Firefox are also pretty smooth, but somehow I always end up using them only if there's a page that won't display properly in the stock browser (which isn't very often).

Didn't noticed any performance improvements either. It lags and swaps all over the place... Most laggiest browser on Android. Even Firefox is now faster, yet has ugly UI.

Wonder how things going on with iOS. Last time we checked it on iPad 3 it was even more laggier than on Android. Scrolling was jittery even on lightweight sites. But that was almost half a year ago. Still, there was no any improvements on Android since then, so I doubt they improved it on iOS as well.

Isn't it the problem with almost all apps in play store? That their iOS counterparts run smoother and even at times faster?
