1.google needs music recognition for it’s market (play store)
2.google’s music recognition is not as good as lets say soundhound right now, but someday it will be and then it will kill off nice apps like soundhound along with it’s developers
3.android is open source and we (costumers) love free apps; but let’s face it developers do not do this for free, they gather information and use it for advertisements (exactly like google)
4.this is wild, where big fish eats small fish.
the question is what would u do if u were google?
