Actually, this news is not entirely incorrect. Google has allowed top developers to reply to comments since a few months, but now they’ve updated to allow every developer to respond to comments, so it would be good if this article reflected that.

On both platforms though, people leave questions in their reviews, or mention things they personally haven’t got working. In these situations, a dev’s reply can make all the difference.
