@JulianZHuang:disqus @facebook-100003075234410:disqus @AffiCDNML:disqus off course iOS is more battery efficient, the background apps is basically just sit around and do nothing unlike Android's true multitasking. Both has it's own plus and minus.

a comment from a tech fanboy, owner of a Desktop PC, Android Galaxy Note, and a Macbook Pro. not just any random brand fanboy.

Agree strongly with @Cdnml:disqus. iOS is a very efficient OS and iDevices tend to be optimized for better battery life in real-use scenarios.

"Android the last 2 years has 6-7 different resolution APK when installing MANUALLY. You can choose which APK is your resolution before you install it. They are all optimized for specific resolutions"

What about RAM Vs Standby ? in many ways iPhone is going to get better battery :) and there are more than 400 android devices running in various resolutions and GPU's , each GPU scales differently and also each of them render things in unique ways , thats why tegra 3 games are exclusive since rendering and API's differ :) you cant ignore about various GPUs trying to render resolutions in different ways.
Forgot about Asphalt games issues with some devices ? , its extremely buggy , since rendering is different (even if it exists in 2 same resolutions , different GPU's render it different , thats where another mighty problem arises which results in extreme stutter and sluggishness with high consumption of resources besides scaling)

"same goes for iPad. You can't compare tablet battery life to a phone, that's just ignorant "
>>Whats ur argument about ? its about screen sizes , isnt it ? I compared 2 tablets but not one smartphone and one tablet .....and iPad is an iOS devices , Nexus is Android (both mobile platforms which run on both tablets and smartphones) and both devices use LCD (for little more fair comparison) at HD resolutions (>720p)

Now you are talking like real a iPhone fanatic and about stuff you know nothing about. Most high end games on Android the last 2 years has 6-7 different resolution APK when installing manually. You can choose which APK is your resolution before you install it. They are all optimized for specific resolutions. And since 2010 you automatically get the specific resolution also from Google Play. I believe my Tranformer Tablet has 9-13 hours of gaming time depending on which game it is because it does not have to give battery life to calls and 3G/LTE reception all the time, same goes for iPad. You can't compare tablet battery life to a phone, that's just ignorant.
