Something like this existed already since 2006. It was called “Black Dog” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackDog) and it actually ran Linux – though it needed a computer to work, not just any monitor. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to go anywhere and got discontinued as the original developer went down…

Impossible, Windows 8 – although lighter in RAM than ever still requires a fast processor and graphics to work, and a fast/ energy efficient X86 on a USB stick will only be a possibility 5 years from now, and with only ARM-compatible apps available Windows 8 will have no significance over the much power functional Android, besides even Tegra 3 would fit on a USB Flash disk

“Its internals aren’t too bad either — it packs a dual-core 1.2-GHz Samsung Exynos ARM CPU, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI-out, and a microSD card slot.It’s pretty much a Galaxy S II without the ability to make phone calls.It currently runs Android 2.3 and future versions will be able to run the ARM version of Windows 8.

FXI hasn’t said anything specific about pricing except that it will cost “considerably less than $200.”

This could be the start of a new era, imagine if this became available for like 150 euros :d it would be everywhere, even challenging pc dominance :D
