French retailer Colette shows the Apple Watch at dedicated window

Fashion Week in Paris is heating up and retailer Colette has partnered with Apple to show the Apple Watch to the huddled masses. The Cupertino smartwatch will not be available until “early 2015″ so this may be your only chance to catch a glimpse at the iPhone companion for months to come.

It won’t last long though, the retailer was teasing a “one day experience” earlier and its website confirmed it, saying We have a special guest today.”

The store will open at 11 and close at 19. Of course this will be an eyes-only affair, you can’t buy one and you can’t even try one out. The Apple Watch does have some fashion credentials – the top end Watch Edition version is made of solid gold and has a sapphire glass. Whether the square looks warrant this much attention is another matter.

The Watch Edition will be well above the $350 base price though, it could be priced anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000. It’s not clear if Colette will be selling the Apple Watch when it does come out but arguably this showcase is a pretty good indication that it will.
