my only problems are:
-that gadgets no longer work, there is a hack to return it but it is not officially supported
-some old programs have compatibility issues… bluetooth for example, the .exe doesn’t work you have to install using the .msi, same thing with logitech gaming software
-internet is a must to set it up properly the first time, although its just the first time
-shutting down, restarting, hibernating, sleeping, etc is a chore… it is best to place a shortcut on the desktop, its as if microsoft doesn’t plan on you shutting down your computer EVER!!!
-it is best operated with a scrollable mouse. it gets a bit annoying with just the touchpad but then again i was never a fan of touchpads

everything else is great and fast and optimized. i use internet explorer more than chrome now(i know, unbelievable) it uses very little memory. installed every chapter of sims and it plays smooth. i only have 4gb of ram and i planned on upgrading when i was on 7 cuz in under an hour sims would eat up almost 3gb… i had to close everything else just to let it load faster but with 8 i hover under 2gb the entire time… so now i enjoy sims 3 deluxe edition and can play battlefield 3 at the same time while owning my noob friend in dota.

“metro” is just the start button expanded with universal search. not a big deal. you will spend 99% of your time on the desktop anyway… and it is very easy to pick up… my lil 13 sister uses it fine and even my old grey haired mother uses fine… she spends 75% of her time in metro anyway…

so yh… i do recommend it but just bear in mind the stuff that i ponited out…

That option is now gone…you constantly have to exit it upon restart or loading of your computer. Plus why do I need more tablet-bloatware on a PC?
