Opening 20 or 30+ tabs is not an issue in Chrome or Firefox. That is my experience but yes, i have noticed if i keep the tabs for a longer than a day or so then Chrome feels “heavy”.
When it comes to tabs, i have found that Opera to be the champion.

I do not know how many but i often open many tabs. If firefox or chrome collects that data then they will know exactly how many.

In my case, i may be trying to find something in the internet (eg. excel formula) so it means 5 to 6 tabs. But i may not get what i want and to refresh my mind i go to a news site or a tech site and deviate my mind from the office work. While readying i just go through the website and opens all the interesting articles in a new tab and then read them one by one. Normally to read all these things it take more than one day.

Currently i have 9 tabs open. and under “recently closed” there are 10 tabs all of them from GSMArena. Which means when i started reading GSMArena articles i might have opened more then 20 tabs for sure. Many times the tab raw would be full and i have to move back and forth to reach articles(tabs) hehe.

One more thing. i am using Chrome now (office) but at home i use Firefox, to be honest both of them are excellent.

Actually side tabs are good but I think you don’t need them in latest releases of Firefox because the title is readable even if you open too many tabs and there’s another cool feature called Tab Groups. Try Ctrl+Shift+E in Firefox n you will see the magic :)

You have never used Firefox…. You don’t know anything about Firefox….. Get your Facts Right….
Firefox never force closes for update …even after downloading update its your wish whether you want to restart immediately or could just cancel restart dialogue and Firefox would be updated on next restart even if you restart Firefox after 7 days.

You could use the plugin “Side Tabs” …..and see the difference ….almost 100 Tabs and still no problem in reading.
And add “Tab Scope” to mix to get preview thumbnails of tabs……… you can’t beat that

Hehehe not dirty minded….I use that special chrome “feature” to hide Facebook, Manga websites and sites like this from preying eyes of my colleagues i.e. my bosses hehe!

And I ain’t dissing firefox…I use it at home ;)

Lols. Your comment prove two things. First your dirty mind. Second you are a Chrome user. Firefox handled this issue so well that even if you open 100 tabs, you can still view favicon and page title very clearly. Don’t believe me? Go try yourself.

Do people open more than 10 tabs so the headings of the tabs are so small you can’t cipher the content of the page? E.g. to hide the numerous tabs you have open that has dirty pictures?
