Considering the comments from jury members after the verdict, I would say that Samsung lost before the case began. They also have a very good case for appeal considering that Judge Lucy put such ridiculous time constraints on the case and also threw out lost of prior art.

Despite many quams about lack of innovation, we will see how many iPhone 5s are sold before its next upgrade. People are just not too enthused in seeing the iPhone change into something else. It’s an iPhone; not a Lumia, Gs3, or whatever competitors are out there. And no matter how we complain, it will be an iphone that resembles an iPhone and offers an iPhone experience and useability. Btw, I own both an iPhone 5 and a Gs3.
