AMD doesn't want to fight Intel in the High Ends anymore, they'll be focusing on fusion for laptops and tablets so let the fight between Intel and Arm instead as Intel will be solely fighting for the existence of X86 which is being already being threatened by ARM. you can say Intel CPUs are fast as hell but ARM is already eating even the OS of choice for these CPUs and not long from now ARM will reach the point where full scale computing is now possible at MUCH LESS power consumption.

you are right about power consumption but what i said was about circuit theory, I am sure you know it better, the electric length of a circuit must be very smaller than the wavelength otherwise it wont be a compact circuit ;)

The mobile CPUs should really benefit from Ivy Bridge (power consumption and better graphics). I would stick to a good desktop Sandy Bridge if I already have one.
