Yes but new features were unavailable on the device. When Android updates backports are made of the new libraries which mean older devices can get support for newer things (like the ActionBar for instance)

Rarely are things backported like this on iOS (ARC was made to be somewhat available to older versions of iOS, but this isn't a user facing thing).

That's why I rarely read any tech site (or technology section of newspapers) in the UK. They are so pro-Apple its unbelievable. Apple can do no wrong in their eyes. There was barely any reported news about Nexus 4 being sold out in UK newspapers, but on the same day (13th Nov), there was a small article about iPhone 6 rumours!! GSMArena and AnandTech are the only places I go for reviews.

Samsung marketing sucks though. The crap they come up with actually sounds and feels better in Korean (I speak Korean), when its in English, sounds super cheesy and almost spine chilling!

I agree, wanna know the reason for such decisions? Money. It's simple, Samsung is paying texts for their Galaxy brand devices, Google is the one who should pay for Nexus devices.

BUT, Google instead of giving money on marketing (like Apple & Samsung) he is reducing the prices of it's models.

I think it's an experiment to see what people like more: big marketing + big prices or (more reasonable) tiny marketing + cheap prices. And I know we'll wait a little longer for review...:/

If you look at the progress on their G+ page they're on time, it's still a nightly though, it'll boot alright, but everything else will crash. And I find it hilarious that a group of enthusiast can push updates much quicker than the OEM.
