Yeah, that’s what I’m waiting for too. Should be more powerful than the A31 and still be really affordable. They’re quoting big boost in performance and power savings over the RK3066. Can’t wait to get my first Android tablet :).

Wow, really? So it needs 8 core to run lag free… And to think just a few months ago some tech blogs (and even Intel researchers) claimed Android is not optimized for multiple cores…
Please, ask Googleif you don’t believe me.

Yep. At 4 times the power cost. For 50% more performance gain. That most apps don’t really need. Or do need, but only because the app is badly optimized. Wasteful, innit?

for ones who dont know:

Cortex A8 was best in 2009 and used in flagships in those days,iphone 4, Iphone 3gs, original galaxy s, HTC HD2 and Desire (snapdragon 8250 based on A8)

Cortex A9 was top dog of 2010-2012. features Out of order Execution and on same clock as A8 was about 30-40% faster and consumes less power too and brings multi core processors. used in galaxy s2, s3, iphone 4s, ipad 2-3 and almost all smartphones of era.

cortex A15 is a new architecture and top dog of ARM. features huge leap forward to A9 and brings and can compete to lower end intel x86 processors (in your computer not razrM) with no more power usage than A9 and it has alot bigger die too. so far only chip of A15 is exynos 5250 and only device is nexus 10

cortex A7 is a new architecture. an effort to make a chip that perform between A8 and A9 and also use far less power. its die is very smaller than A9 so its manufacturing costs will be dirt chip

OH.That’s why they bought a used 30 year old Soviet aircraft carrier.Silly me.I guess that used Soviet carrier is far more technological advanced than the Gerald Ford class carrier built by the US.The world should just surrender because of that old,tiny and rusty but far more “advanced” used soviet carrier.
